Gisèle Loya is...
a self-taught creative mind; a sister, daughter, lover and mother (separately, of course), and—most importantly—a dreamer.
"For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to be a professional artist. Unfortunately, being the first of my Congolese family to be born in the "Free World" meant I had to "be realistic" about a career path to take. However, I decided to take my future into my own hands, and follow my dreams.
Now, I am based in Cleveland, Ohio and working as an artist full-time. I get inspired by the colorful city, constantly finding new ways to express my passion to create and networking with like-minded people.
Though my most practiced mediums are graphite, acrylic paint, and graphic design, I try not to limit myself by only sticking to them. Instead, I embrace each spurt of inspiration by creating whatever comes to mind. And as cliché as it sounds, my favorite part of it all is being able to share my creations with the world."
